EA and I experienced our first shrine #matsuri today. We attended the #FunaokaTaisai or the #FunaokaGrandFestival, which is an annual ritual held every October 19 at #KenkunShrine in the #Funaokayama area. Happening on the same day when Oda Nobunaga marched victoriously into the ancient capital in 1568, the festival is a way to honor his accomplishments and to pass his history to the next generation. Nobunaga was deified in this shrine.
