Next up is Buba, our guide/rower whom rowed us through crocodile infested waters to tell us about the mangroves and the oyster trade near Lamin Lodge, the Gambia.
Buba works the entire week at this location for a small salary. He only profits from tips us tourist will give him, which is incredible because well you know, most of the western tourists don’t give a lot of (big) tips anymore.
Lamin Lodge is located in the western parts of the Gambia, near Serakunda city. After a day in this hectic and also very polluted city, the nature surrounding Lamin Lodge is a sight for sore eyes.
