Reckong Peo is sort of the gateway to #spiti and it also has the last fuel station on the way to Nako. Refuel here and fill your extra cans cuz you’ll surely need them. The terrain slowly but surely starts to change from here into rocky roads laden with shooting stones. A few kms in and it just opens up into a stunningly brown cold desert. If the weather gods are kind like they were to us, the skies will throw up infinite sparkling blue. We rested at Nako, a vibrant town with loads to see. A monastery, a neatly kept lake set in a beautiful background and some colourful gullies to take an evening stroll. A nice campfire and lip smacking food set us up for a perfect night with spirits aplenty
