Stari Most, or “Old Bridge” is a rebuilt 16th-century Ottoman style bridge in the city of Mostar that crosses the river Neretva and connects the two parts of the city. The Old Bridge stood for 427 years, until it was destroyed on November 9th, 1993 during the war. An international project was formed to reconstruct it; the rebuilt bridge opened on July 23rd, 2004. .
