This week will be all about Gambian children, the majority of whom come from poor families. Children who have little to no good future ahead. In our western countries, we often see or hear the stories in the media but only after a first visit to an African country do you see the seriousness of the matter.
These children were sitting on the quay while we prepared ourselves for a long boat trip on the Gambia river.
A rather difficult moment as there was a buffet waiting for us on the boat. This while these children probably come from a poor family and therefore have little to eat. . . . . .
